This blog celebrates the music of Magma and its founder, Christian Vander. Magma is the father of a genre of music called "Zeuhl". This blog will contain commentary, links, videos, and perhaps some live music.
Although nothing official has been announced yet, there is word from Paris that the new keyboard player in One Shot is Bruno Ruder, the current keyboard player of Magma.
Well, we all knew this would happen, didn't we ..... :-(
For people in the USA, this is Sunday night at 6:00 PM (EST), so hopefully, someone can listen to the show and perhaps provide a recording for us to download.
INFERNAL MACHINA The CD has just been reissued by Jannick TOP. It contains a bonus - a new version of the recent introduction of the Music of the Spheres
This is not Zeuhl, but it is a really nice LP of "atmospheric" french progressive music. Very similar to certain parts of Art Zoyd around the Phase IV period.
I bought this record from Wayside Music when it first came out. I wonder why this has never been re-released on CD. Perhaps the good folks at Soleil Zeuhl are reading this blog (I know that Udi is), and will consider a re-release of this gem.
I created two fan pages on Facebook. One is "Jannick Top (Zeuhl)" and the other is "Neom (Zeuhl)". If you are a member of Facebook, and you like Jannick and Neom, please consider joining the groups.
