This blog celebrates the music of Magma and its founder, Christian Vander. Magma is the father of a genre of music called "Zeuhl". This blog will contain commentary, links, videos, and perhaps some live music.
Thanks for sharing this. I'm pretty blocked, but I'm the dark head just below Stella's tambourine. The fellow in the green jacket behind me is blocking most of me. In fact, it's hard to see that I'm there at all, but I was. What a great gig.
ReplyDeleteHi Peter,
ReplyDeleteI took the easy way out, and I was in the balcony, in the center. That was a great seat, as I had an unblocked view of Vander for the whole concert. I also remember that the Om Zanka portion of KA was amazing that night.
Hi Marc, I was in the balcony for the 1999 Knitting Factory show, and I agree - that was also a prime vantage point.
ReplyDeleteI might of been upstairs for this one since my master has little crowd noise like many other floor recorded tapes do. Tape runs 110 minutes or so. Sure, It was definitely great but the previous 1999 NYC Wetlands gig was a real mind-blower in comparison.
